Introduction to the Franklin County TIF

Established in 2008, the Franklin County Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District provides public assistance to the Kibby Wind Power Project and created an economic development plan for Unorganized Townships (UTs) in Franklin County. As part of the economic development plan, a portion of the funds obtained from this district are put towards two funding programs: grants for projects in UTs; and Employment Skills Training (EST) scholarships for students from UTs. Read the official TIF Administration Guidelines. The addendum to this document, as of October 2011, can be found here.
