With a broad range of medical services, FMH specializes in cardiology, orthopedics, emergency care and occupational health and is a member of both the American Hospital Association as well as the Maine Hospital Association.

Most recently, in October of 2011, FMH earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety in hospitals. With cutting edge technology and large meeting rooms, the Ben Franklin Center was created to provide health information and educational programming to patients, professionals, students and the community. With an event coordinator available through every step of planning and execution, many have chosen the Ben Franklin Center to hold their meetings, conferences, seminars and other events.

In 2008, the hospital opened the Franklin Health Medical Arts Center, a new $10 million medical office building. This 58,000 square foot building houses Franklin Health pediatrics, women's care, orthopaedics, general surgery, and urology medical practices, as well as the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center. The new building will allow physicians to better accommodate the growing number of patients looking for care at these practices.
