Tourism

The Maine Office of Tourism puts a great deal of time and effort into developing a beneficial tourism strategy for the State of Maine. They publish an annual travel guidebook, Maine Invites You, that distributes over 250,000 copies through online requests and at rest stops throughout the state. The Maine Thing Quarterly, their online publication, features stunning photos, videos, and writing done by professionals that truly highlight the unique nature of what Maine has to offer.  Franklin County is located in the Lakes and Mountains region.

The Maine Office of Tourism's Tourism Partners section will help you find numerous support services and resources including advertising information, a staff directory, extensive research, marketing partnership opportunities and other useful information that will help us all better market Maine.

Greater Franklin Development Council works with the Maine Office of Tourism as well as the Maine Tourism Association to make sure that tourism efforts are not limited to the coastal areas of the state and that we show the world the elevated sense of living that is found in the Maine High Peaks region.
