The Vote Yes on 1 for Better Internet campaign will hold a virtual town hall meeting at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 15. This interactive event will create a stage for Maine voters to ask campaign leadership and community broadband partners how a ‘yes’ vote on Question 1 will impact Maine.

Passing Question 1 on the July 14 primary election ballot will invest $15 million to expand access to high speed internet in Maine and will be matched by $30 million in private, federal and local funds to help the state's economy, create jobs and keep communities connected.

Moderated by Andrew Butcher of the Maine Broadband Coalition

ABOUT QUESTION 1

Question 1 gives voters a chance to take action NOW to strengthen the economy, create jobs and build access to high speed internet, particularly in rural Maine. The $15 million bond will be matched by at least $30 million in private, federal and local support – tripling the impact of this smart investment. Access to high speed internet is extremely important to daily life, especially now amidst the COVID-19 Crisis. Everyone needs access. No exceptions.
